Photocopiers

Main Photocopier Features

If you've ever been shopping for a new piece of office equipment, you already know it can be a frustrating experience. Deciding between colors is just a pain, right? When it comes to shopping for a photocopier, things can get even stickier because there are hundreds of features you might want to include - and they all sound like they would help you (will pickup takeout, wash the car, etc.). But when you want to save money, you need to stick to the main photocopier features, you know, the ones that you will actually use on a day to day basis.

Three Main Photocopier Features

Obviously, the first photocopier feature you need is the ability to copy documents and other images. Without this, the photocopier doesn't really provide much. The photocopying feature also has a number of sub categories you might want to consider as well. You can use the basic black and white copier, which will save you on toner for photocopiers since you only need to buy black. Or you might want to look into a color photocopier which allows you to copy and to print in full color. This is important when you are dealing with images in your business or when you simply want to copy something else that has coloring. You can also look into digital photocopiers which can give you more detail in your copies as well as turn them into digital files for easy reference and storage.

The second photocopier feature you might need is the ability to create smaller or bigger versions of the original document. For example, you might have an image that you want to make smaller so it can fit onto another document you are creating. To do this, the photocopier might include an image manipulation feature to help change the size by a certain percentage. This is quite helpful, especially to those who want to make creative projects and don't want to fuss with a computer's image manipulation software.

The first feature you need to have in your copier is binding and sorting. These features allow you to create bound documents in mass numbers and to help you sort the separate pages of a document you might be creating. In doing this, you don't have to spend the time sorting out everything and making it pretty - the machine can. And the machine doesn't take breaks or bug you for a raise. Not yet, anyway.
